Almacenes Exito S.A. has grown over the years through different mergers and acquisitions with important Colombian retail chains such as EXITO, Ley, Cadenalco, Carulla, Vivero, La Candelaria and POMONA: all of these responsible for having built up a hundred year-old tradition of service to the Colombian consumer.

Exito acquires Carulla Vivero, the largest supermarket operator in Colombia.
The Casino Group acquires a controlling stake in Almacenes Exito S.A.
The company successfully entered the international capital markets via an offering of 50 million of GDSs to Qualified Institutional Buyers under Rule 144A in the U.S. and Regulation S in Europa.

Is an important year for commercial expansion for our company. We opened 23 new EXITO’s in Colombia.

A joint venture is set up with Sufinanciamiento to create the EXITO card, as an important credit mechanism for its customers.
